Pre Menopause Symptoms | By Jackie P.
I thought it might be a good idea to let someone else talk about what they went through during pre menopause for a change and I’ve asked my friend Jacqueline P. to write about her personal experiences during this period. Jackie and I have been friends for over 10 years and she is actually the one who introduced me to Menozac a few years ago. What follows is Jackie’s own story.
Side Note: Pre menopause is the time before the menstrual cycle stops completely and menopause is medically and officially described as starting 1 full year after the last menstrual cycle. Pre menopause can last from 4 to 15 years in some cases.
My Pre Menopause Symptoms:
Hi I’m Jackie. First I have to ask for your indulgence because I’m not used to writing for other people. Carla asked me to write about what I went through during pre menopause, so here goes.
At the beginning my symptoms were very subtle and easy to ignore. I was feeling more tired than usual but put it down to my busy lifestyle. I run a small child care business and as anyone who deals with children all day can tell you, they can drain you of energy.
As time went by however I started noticing new symptoms. It started with an unusually dry vagina and I ended up needing medical treatment for a urinary tract infection. On top of that even though I felt tired during the day, I could not fall asleep at night. I would lay awake for hours on end tossing and turning and only managed to fall asleep in the early hours of the morning just a few hours before the alarm goes off.
By nature I’m a very organised and cheerful person, but little things started to escape my attention. Nothing big but just small silly things like where I put the car keys, little things that I usually wouldn’t have any trouble remembering started eluding me. If these were pre menopause symptoms I wondered what menopause itself would be like.
But the worst part was my moods which could change faster than the wind direction. One moment I’d be happily cooking for the children and my husband could make an innocent remark and that would set me off. This type of scenario started happening more often and it got to the point where he started sleeping in his office. (My husband is a network engineer and works from a small home-office.)
That’s when it finally dawned that something was seriously wrong. My Doctor told me that these were classic symptoms of pre menopause and were caused by a hormonal imbalance and he suggested I might want to look into HRT and he handed me some pamphlets to read. He also told me there might be some risks associated with HRT.
HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy)
I told him I’d think about it and left. When I got home I did a search on the internet to find out more about HRT. What I read scared the hell out of me to say the least. The risks associated to HRT were too great for me to take. I didn’t want any form of treatment that would put me at higher risk of breast cancer, heart disease or severe depression.
The thought of receiving estrogens derived from the urine of pregnant horses was not appealing at all. (Yes, you read that right, the estrogen that’s used for HRT comes from proprietary mixtures of conjugated equine estrogens.) For me that was the end of it. I stopped considering HRT as an option and started looking for alternatives for my pre menopause symptoms.
One name that kept coming up during my searches for an alternative solution was Menozac. Menozac is a natural menopause treatment supplement. It claimed to relieve pre menopausal symptoms by replacing the depleted levels of human estrogen with a vegetable alternative.
One of the ingredients in Menozac is Soy and Soy contains natural plant estrogens called phytoestrogens. (This sounded a lot better in my ears than horse urine…)
After some deliberation I ordered a bottle and waited anxiously for it to arrive. What finally made me decide to go ahead was that they offered a 90 day full money back guarantee on Menozac so I figured I had nothing to lose. When my bottle finally arrived after a few days, I couldn’t wait; I just took one right away and thought my troubles were over.
I was wrong it didn’t make much of a difference at all. I was still moody, tired and had trouble sleeping that night.
It was until about a week later that my husband mentioned that I looked relaxed, that I noticed I wasn’t feeling as tired as I had for the last few months, and I was also feeling more upbeat compared to the last 6 to 8 months. I slept better at night too, and if you’ve ever gone though a rough patch and know what it’s like to keep tossing and turning at night only falling asleep just before the alarm, you’ll know what a blessing restful sleep can be.
I’ve been using Menozac all though pre menopause and except for the very occasional hot flush, I haven’t had any more unwanted pre menopause symptoms. I would definitely suggest anyone who suffers from hormonal imbalance symptoms due to menopause to take a look at their website and have a look at the testimonials.
